Scott Dauteuil of S.D. Construction has done several projects in my home over the course of several years. He completely remodeled two bathrooms, built a bedroom extension, installed a furnace, and designed and built an enclosed four-season porch.

     While the large projects have been done with expertise and care, Scott has shown his strength and good will toward our family with the little things. He has come in a snow storm to back up the furnace he put in and takes just as much care installing a storm door as an entire room.

     Scott's prices are reasonable and he shows his appreciation for my business. His knowledge covers all areas of home improvement, including plumbing, and his workers are careful and respectful of my home.

     It’s about trust. I know that I can say, "Do this" and it will happen the way I want it too….I don't have to worry about it. He takes a lot of the stress out of remodeling or reconstruction, and works independently, making choices with my best interests in mind. Scott is one of the good guys, and I will continue to entrust my home to him.

     "Our experience with S.D. Construction was very positive. We decided to add a 'great room' (approx 400 sq feet) to the first level of our modest 100 year-old 'cape' which is located on ¼ acre of land Scott's wasn't the lowest of the four bids received, but it was quite competitive; we interviewed all 4 bidders and chose Scott because he took a critical look at our design and offered his ideas on how to improve it. He listened to our concerns and took the extra time to explain his decisions to us.

     He brought along with him two other first-class, experienced carpenters and when he, himself was not on the job, he visited the site to consult with them and deal with any problems that arose. All three men were congenial, always 'keeping us in the loop' and seeking imaginative, low-cost solutions without sacrificing the integrity of the structure or aesthetics. Although there were some 'change orders' during construction, we were shown the problem and the choice was ours to make. We were not 'nickel and dimed' to death. The site was maintained in a safe and orderly manner.

     Frankly, the structure and appearance of the finished product exceeded our expectations. In fact, we had them return a year later to convert two 2nd floor rooms into one. This involved replacing some floor joists and leveling a floor. That job was also first-rate. I really can’t think of anything negative to relate and recommend that you consider them for your project. "
